My Bid on running for House District 9 as a Write-Canidate
Time to Take Back America My personal disclaimer. Please take the time to read this and keep an open mind as I am asking for people to input their views and ideas to help expand my start of a political revolution.
My name is Kent Haberkamp. Welcome all to my new political Blog (or my rant and raving of the American Politics and how we need to step up and start a revolution).
This blog will be ongoing as I will be adding new posts and messages and my views.
As I am going to start off by asking every single voter to use the write-in process in this campaign of true change. As I am official tossing my hat into the political ring. I am asking people to use the write in process for the upcoming November election for House members. I am willing to run a different type of campaign and challenge Marcy Kaptur for her seat in the House. This campaign will not be caring about raising money to fund my campaign war chests. This is a campaign to wake up America and listen to my fellow citizens of the US. As I will not be swayed to open side or the other by groups, organizations, and or businesses. As this is a practice that stops reasonable and responsible policies and neglects in the end the common people. In saying this I will only listen to the people of the US and not by the powerful elitist.
First off my political affiliation is neither Democrat nor Republican as in the present state both of out only two powerful parties have failed us. Our own congress that we the people have voted in office have failed miserably and their popularity rating is so weak. I ask this question why do we vote the same people back in office. My answer is the choices we have between the candidates are slim to none. I think that all ballots need to have a choice of choosing not to vote for a particular race with a no confidence vote or none of the above and these results should be made public with the final results of the race.
In the short of this I am creating my own party. (TBA TAKE BACK AMERICA)
Our current elected politicians are not listening to their own people that put them in office and only care about their own self. Example to this is we the American People and me included do think that we need to open up our waters to drilling for oil and most of America believe in the same thing yet Washington does not listen to us. All they do is play the blame game and make up policy procedures to block attempts at allowing drilling to happen. With that being said yes drilling more for more oil will not solve our own energy problems. I do believe that we need to invest in other forms of alternative energy. I do believe wind, solar power, and nuclear power will help in solving this. The problem is when proposed these new ideas (i.e. new wind farms people and other groups with various organizations block the projects or tie them up until the possible people give up).
Wind Power excuses that people have is that they are unsightly to look at the turbines and/or they kill too many birds.
Solar Power excuses are that the solar panels are unsightly to view or are not feasible to use in large scale.
Nuclear Power excuses are of the radioactive waste. Yes this is a problem but if we focus on security of the waste and the plants this is a safe a viable potential source of power. If you think a great majority of Navy ships and subs use nuclear power and have been using this power for a number of years.
When we finally wake up and realize the drilling for our own oil the benefits will be great and numerous.
Pros: Sending less of own money overseas.
Less oil on tankers on our oceans will reduce the potential for oil tanker spills.
Provide our economy with potential new income by that we are providing our own resources.
It will create new jobs for our economy and new jobs provide more tax income to the government and these new jobs will help out economies in most or all the states.
Cons: Risk of more oil spills.
Examples the fear mongers use so greatly. But with the advancements of drilling procedures less land is use with use of directional drilling.
Risk of off shore platforms having oil spills.
Voice of reason for these people is remember Hurricane Katrina and Rita ripping through the Gulf of Mexico and destroying the oil platforms yet there was no severe or catastrophic oil spills from the storm and the damage of the platforms.
The oil we would produce will not stay in America.
One way we could solve this problem is by setting up guidelines and standards for the oil companies to follow. The oil that we produce from our own country is to stay in America and not be sold on the Global Market.
